La Trappe Quadrupel is the richest of all the La Trappe Trappist ales, and it is the one that gives the style its name. It has a rich character, an amber colour and a slightly beige head. It reveals an aromatic bouquet of fruit, vanilla, caramel and spice, and its rich taste is characterized by notes of malt and ripe fruit, and at the end there is a slight bitterness.
